The first week of 2019 done! I would really like to say it’s a year of new and better things but I feel like the first week of 2019 and I’m only just beginning to find my footing again. With a trip around the other side of world, my birthday, Christmas and New Year’s… what started as a holiday just extended into a festive black hole that I had to yank myself out of! (I’m so glad I didn’t set any New Years resolutions because I would have just felt 10 times worse!) I think I’m finally back now!
December Round Up
I finished off 2018 with an amazing trip to Indonesia with some of my best friends to see our other bestie get married. You can see some of the photos and watch the stories from the visits on my Instagram and my stories. I will do an updated post as we went to some different places this time around. It was incredible but the jet lag coming back was terrible! 12 hours time difference. And I wasn’t prepared as to the catch up coming back. As someone who likes their sleep I was quite disturbed the week leading up to Christmas. Literally, a walking zombie. But it was worth it! If any of you have any tips for jet lag please comment below so I know for future reference!
January Blues?
Does anyone else feel a bit lost in January? Like what’s next? What shall I do? As you can probably tell, I am not one of those hyped up people when it comes to the New Year lol. “Yea, I’m going to do this, this and this and it’s going to be great!” I prefer to quietly quietly review the past year to work out the up and coming year. What worked? What I liked and didn’t like? What things are still on my list from last year? Why have I not done them? Is that still important to me? What is the ultimate aim?!
I don’t set New Years resolutions however I still like to plan. You can download my free planners in the side bar. I like to print it out a couple for year once I have some clarification of what this year is going to be all about. One for the whole of the year. And then month 6 or 7 print out a new going in to the first few months of the next year. So I don’t feel as lost when the year ends.
2019 Focus
2018 was a big year for me. Newly married! Seeing a few other close friends getting married. Growing my online business. Stepping up the writing blogs on my site. Bringing forth opportunities I would have never seen or thought of before. So 2019, I have lots to work and build on this year. Some people like to have a word to sum up what the upcoming year is going to be all about. My word for this year is FOCUS. I feel like that will be the game changer for me for 2019. What is your word for 2019? Happy New Year! Comment below!
