Last week CB2 announced it’s collaboration with Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle brand Goop. The company which began as a weekly newsletter from the actress back in 2008 became Goop incorporated in 2011. Ten years later and Gwyneth and co have now curated their own design collection with Crate & Barrel’s sister brand. Described as pieces, made with love and obsessive attention to quality with a “…juxtaposition of functionality and elegance.”

Goop Love

I’ve been having a browse shopping the collection and fell in love with the Goop look book. Styled very Gwyn like! (Beautiful, elegant and a more is less look) with pretty, delicate water coloured paintings draping the photo frames. If any one knows who did the art work let me know! The collection ranges from pretty decor accessories to the pink mid century sofas and chairs. Another furniture piece includes a limited edition shearling swivel chair. With only 40 available signed by Paltrow priced at $3,299 USD.

It’s been two years for the pair to collar and bring the dream to reality. Making a perfect pair, bringing the contemporary cool aesthetic from CB2 together with Goop’s known “mindful” approach lifestyle to design. Inspiration from chinoiserie paintings, adorned on the chinaware, table linens and incorporated into a gorgeous rug. “A mix of pieces from different eras, places and times in my life- accented by nostalgic objects collected over the years.” Made for the modern day family, with the essentials to still create homely and inviting spaces. I love the collection, the way it’s been styled and presented. And I’m looking forward to seeing the pieces in person at CB2.

CB2 is the latest partnership for the modern lifestyle brand. Last year they partnered up with RH to design the company offices in California. Other partnerships have included Westin Hotels and G. Sports apparel.
