I’ve been loving Dolce & Gabbana’s campaigns and catwalk shows this year. The boldness of their prints and their for dramatic colours, embellishments, embroidery and detailing. Their shows have been amazing! Romantic styling and renaissance art imprinted on to the fashion runway. Beautiful head pieces made of huge roses and golden crowns seen through out the year.

Smeg Collaboration

It’s always interesting to see the cross over between fashion and interiors with trends and colours. Fringing being a huge trend this year. Dolce & Gabbana have already put their huge bold stamp in the home world. A collaboration with the coolest appliance company, Smeg also an Italian company. A 100 hand painted fridges depicting traditional art scenes by Sicilian artists, as well as cookers. Released earlier this year other appliances including juicers, toasters and kettles to complete the “Sicily is my love” collection. Available online to shop in Europe. A one off piece of art work for you and your kitchen.

More is More

The hand painted artwork from the appliances carried through on the Lake Como show in July. Medieval fairy tales brought to the world of fashion in a regal, bold, luxurious statement. Stunning creations made for the show in Italy featuring models Naomi Campbell, Helena Christensen, Ashley Graham and Halima. An array of patterns and painted masterpieces on the dresses. It seems there is no question on the direction of inspiration for Dolce & Gabbana. Solid in their Sicilian roots and tradition and no truer of a statement than….More is definitely more.
