7 Of The Best Interior Design Shows To Binge Watch On Netflix
Netflix has been the place to go for anything on tv. Since the launch of Netflix originals there has been even more programs to catch up with. They have got some interesting interior design programs that are definitely worth a watch. Some that I have already watched and some that are still on my list.
These are the ones to watch out for on Netflix!
Abstract: The Art of Design
This show is amazing. For all the design geeks out there! It covers all genres of design and you get to meet the best designers in their field of expertise. Season 1 explores design through photography, illustration, foot ware design to interiors among others. Ilse Crawford former editor of Elle Decoration is the expert for the interior design episode.
Abstract released the second season last year two years after the first season aired. Hopefully that won’t be the last one.
Grand Designs
Grand Designs has been going for years but still a good favourite! With so many different designs, visions and executions on dream houses there’s a few that are sure to hit your design style. Sharing the full journey from start to finish with Kevin McCloud, through budget concerns and life’s challenges you’ll be fully invested in their dream house too.
It’s a classic for good reason!
Tidying Up With Marie Kondo
Marie Kondo has been tidying up the whole world through her books and her Netflix show. You can take notes from the show and put in to practice for your own home. As there really is power in organization and clearing clutter!
Minimalism: A Documentary About Important Things
Speaking of less clutter, this show gets right down to the fundamentals of design and function. What is necessary in your life and if less stuff in your life leaves you better off? This documentary on minimalism covers all areas of life.
Amazing Interiors
Amazing Interiors is all about the houses that you would never think to even attempt to try! This show is really pushing the boundaries about what is possible with you home from indoor aquariums to roller coasters. Maximal to the max.
If you’re looking to stretch yourself in terms of decorating your home, watch this show then go back to to that ceiling you were considering painting black! It’ll seem like nothing after watching this!
Dream House Makeover
Dream House Makeover is by the Studio McGee. I’m sure you’ve heard of the couple or seen their designs because they’re huge and all over social media. If you’ve already come across their YouTube channel then I’m sure you’ll be excited about their Netflix show.
It’s set to air on Netflix the 16th October so look out for it!
Restaurants On The Edge
Karin Bohn is the interior designer in this Netflix show saving restaurants on their last legs. Karin along with two other presenters, Nick Liberato and Dennis Prescott who help bring back life to restaurants with the interior, branding and the food.
These makeovers take place all over the world so if you’re into interiors, travel or are big foodie this one is for you.
There are a few shows that I feel left Netflix too soon. Like Interior Design Masters, The Great Interior Design Challenge and The World’s Most Extraordinary Homes. I’m hoping there be a couple more seasons of each yet!
